Permanent neodymium can be divided into three categories according to different manufacturing processes, including sintered neodymium magnets, bonded neodymium, and hot pressed neodymium magnets. According to the data released by China Rare Earth Industry Association, the output of sintered neodymium magnets in China was 170000 tons in 2019, with a year-by-year increase of 9.7%, accounting for 94.3% of the total amount of neodymium permanent magnet materials in that year; The output of bonded neodymium magnetic materials was 7900 tons, up 5% year-on-year, accounting for 4.4%, while other neodymium magnetic materials accounted for only 1.3%.
